Cream Cheese Frosting

Canned frosting is great in a pinch, but nothing beats this homemade recipe and it is a lot easier than you might think.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: none

Ingredients:

8 oz Cream cheese
4 cups Powdered sugar
2 tablespoons Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Assorted Food coloring


Instructions:

In a medium-size bowl mix all the ingredients together. Beat until smooth and creamy.

For a firmer frosting, add more powdered sugar. For a thinner glaze, start with 1 cup powdered sugar and add in 1/4 cup increments until you reach the desired consistency.

TIP: Unless the recipe specifies otherwise, wait for your cake or cookies to cool completely before frosting.
